SATHI centre at IIT Kharagpur is set up with the support of DST to house sophisticated equipment for research, characterization, scientific analysis/interpretation, generation of data, knowledge dissemination aimed at helping industries, MSMEs, incubators, start-ups and academia in development of new materials and products. Eventually the centers will also house facilities for developing prototype models, rapid prototyping, and smart fabrications. The facilities across the SATHI centers are likely to change the research eco system of the country.
